Rabbi Schreiber, lovingly referred to as Reb Tuviah, received his rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Spiritual Leaders Institute in New York and is a certified Hebrew chant leader through the Aleph Alliance for Jewish Renewal. He has taken part in the Jewish Renewal Davening Leadership Training Institute and has completed coursework with Yerusha's Aging to Saging program as well as the Multi-Faith Storytelling program. Reb Tuviah holds a Master’s Degree in Judaic Studies and his additional studies have taken him to Or Sameach in New York and Aish HaTorah in Jerusalem and Miami Beach. He has studied with Rabbi Shefa Gold of Kol Zimra, Rabbi Marcia Prager of Aleph, and Rick Recht at the annual Songleader’s Boot Camp. Before coming to TBE, he was the full-time Rabbi at Temple Beth David in Spring Hill, Florida for five and half years and was on the Board of Directors for the Jewish Federation of Florida's Gulf Coast. Reb Tuviah is a member of the Union of Jewish Universalist Communities.
 

Having an additional Master’s Degree in Education and Administration, he has enjoyed a fulfilling career as a classroom teacher and as a principal in both public schools and private Jewish day schools. Throughout the years, Reb Tuviah has immersed himself in Jewish education and has created, led, and participated in numerous Jewish and interfaith programs. His love of Torah, Kabbalah, mysticism, music and learning has led him to where he is today. In his spare time, Reb Tuviah enjoys the piano and guitar, sports (both as a fan and a participant), and can often be found hanging out at the beach as well as hiking and kayaking throughout Florida’s many natural wonders.
 

 

His lovely wife, Nancy, a special education teacher, holds an active part in the Manatee Jewish community as well. She takes an active role at the synagogue by holding monthly Rosh Chodesh gatherings, participating in Shabbat services, and involvement in the TBE Sisterhood. She is a wonderful baker and enjoys bringing homemade challahs of all flavors to the synagogue and making homemade matzoh during Passover.
